Dean Street Townhouse: A reliable, elegant go-to

Simple sophistication where you could happily be a local

This Soho House outpost is the sort of place that will become a reliable go-to. While it’s nothing particularly outstanding, it’s elegant, slap bang in the middle of Soho, open all day and the food is always decent. It serves up classic British fare, like shepherd’s pie, mince and potatoes, steak and venison fillet, with a wine list that’s suitably old world. It’s the same sort of offering as the Ivy chain, but with more of a feeling of exclusivity. It’s the sort of place you could find yourself in three or four times a month without really realising you’re going so often – it’ll be the back-up you end up choosing first.
