Deliveroo is giving away free doughnuts to unhappy UberEats customers

Crosstown Doughnuts and Doughnut Time are here to save the day
Pretty dough: Deliveroo riders will be handing out the doughnuts from 6pm today

The war between UberEats and Deliveroo has begun. Again.

Earlier it was announced that UberEats were giving away 36,000 doughnuts to Londoners as Krispy Kreme joined the food delivery app.

As with all giveaways, carnage ensued and UberEats broke, literally.

Unhappy Londoners far and wide took to social media platform Twitter to vent their frustrations – and didn't hold back.

In a bid to help Londoners who were denied their doughnuts, Deliveroo have announced that they will be handing free doughnuts to anyone at Liverpool Street, Cannon Street and Kings Cross Stations from 6pm today – whilst stocks last, of course.

More than 1,000 pastries will be available from doughnut legends Crosstown Doughnuts and newbie Aussies, Doughnut Time.
