Gizzi Erskine has set about making the "Happy Meal" even happier.

At Pure Filth, her "healthy food for hedonists" pop-up taking residence at Tate Modern later this month, the TV chef has teamed up with nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson to create nutritious vegetarian burgers with a nod to the boxed-up childhood favourite.

The two have now announced that they will be opening a permanent site for the concept in the new year, and are in the process of planning two further sites.

Pure Filth's plant-based menu at Tate Modern will feature the Pure Filth Happy Meal (a black bean burger in a beetroot bun served with a choice of sauces including spicy Bajan hot pepper sauce and korean spicy tofu mayo), milkshakes made with dary free booja booja ice cream and a seasonal raw apple pie bar.

Artist Jake Chapman has also created a limited edition series of "lunch boxes" to coincide with the residency.

No plans have yet been announced as yet to include a toy in the box, but watch this space...

Pure Filth will be open at Tate Modern 25-26 November, 2-3 December and 9-10 December, tate.org.uk
