Rockadollar Dogs: Hawksmoor chef turns to haute hot dogs at new Soho restaurant

Hot dog street trader Rockadollar Dogs has taken over the site recently vacated by barbecue restaurant Pitt Cue Co near Carnaby Street.

Run by Richard Sandiford — who is also head chef at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge — and his partner Emma Jerrard, it serves an array of differently topped ‘pimped and posh’ dogs.

These include the Onglet Bulgogi dog (a beef sausage with onglet steak, dutch chilli, ginger, kewpie mayo, fried onion and micro coriander) and the Yakisoba Pulled Pork Dog (a pork sausage topped with pulled pork, lime and toasted fennel slaw, yakisoba sauce and kewpie mayonnaise).

There is also a lobster claw dog and a vegetarian dog made with a dumpling-like cheese sausage.

They dogs are all served in buns which are steamed to be extra light, and cost £8 a pop.

Sides include lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, pig cheek macaronade, kimchi and duck fat chips, while there are also specials such as kimchi ribs on offer. The drinks list majors on cocktails and craft beers.
