G n' T season may be over, but the drink is showing no sign of wavering as the UK’s first gin bakery opens in London later this week.

The gin-fuelled pop-up will briefly open at Portobello Road's Pearl and Groove Bakery on Friday September 21.

Sadly, it will only be open for one weekend, closing Sunday. Still, it will boast limited edition gin and tonic-themed cakes, available at £4.25 each or £23 for a box of six.

Guests can also opt for a G&T made with the same gin as that in their baked goods.

Great British Bake Off winner Sophie Faldo will be there for the launch to open the shop.

The spot will open at 9.30am on Friday, 10am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday and will close at 6pm on Friday and Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.

Pearl and Groove and botanical brewery Fentimans are behind the gin bakery and to mark the occasion have developed a series of gin-inspired recipes, including a pink grapefruit tonic cheesecake, which is available on their website.
