Wild Game Co residency at The Endurance

On these Baltic, wintery days, what better way to warm your cockles than with a hearty feast of wild venison and game?

The kilt-flaunting Wild Game Co boys - you might have seen them at their various weekend market stalls or their successful pop-ups - have set up camp at The Endurance in Soho for three months (past graduates of this pub's residencies include burger maestro Patty & Bun). From their new base, they're offering up simply-cooked, hearty fare sourced from the wilds of north bonny Scotland for lunch and supper.

A changing, seasonal menu at really very honest prices (mains from £9-£15), you'll be tucking into pigeon and black pudding salad and venison steak frites one day, and pulled boar in honey and soy with rabbit wings the next, and washing it all down with some fine wines.

Our advice? Try and drop by when they're offering the shared venison Chateaubriand with rosemary potatoes, roasted shallots and a port and red currant jus (£35 for two).

Fancy a Christmas knees-up the Wild Game way? Book a table for friends and gorge on festive dishes such as partridge in a pear tree, roast pheasant with all the trimmings and cranberry sorbet; it's £21 for two courses or £25 for three.

They do take walk-ins but it's best to book. Are you game?
