Bridget Jones novelist and screenwriter Helen Fielding is selling her Hollywood home for £2.6 million.

The British author, who was a London newspaper journalist before her blockbuster book and film career, has lived just above Sunset Strip in LA for 17 years.

She could be in for a healthy profit, having bought the three-bedroom bungalow for £1.06 million. It is spacious at 2,700 sq ft. Glass doors open to a shallow loggia running the length of the house and overlooking the pool and dining terrace.

Fielding is moving to a £4.25 million farmhouse she has had built, bordering Brentwood and Santa Monica. It has five bedrooms and a poolside cabana with its own fireplace, bar and bathroom.
