If the thought of having a half-pipe in your house has you reaching for your skateboard, then this unusual home in Norfolk might be right up your alley.

This three-bedroom terrace near King’s Lynn has been converted from a former village youth club and comes with its very own indoor skate bowl.

The 19th-Century property in the pretty village of Terrington St Clement is owned by avid skateboarder Rob Marsden, 41, and is for sale for £200,000.

It took Mr Marsden six months to build the 26ft by 39ft wooden skate bowl, in the area that served as the village hall for most of the last century. It was also used as the headquarters of a military club during the two world wars.

Mr Marsden hadn’t intended to use the entire space for skateboarding, but admits the ramps “just took over the room”.

Mr Marsden, who restores Range Rovers for a living, has owned the building for the past 13 years and lives in an apartment which is separate from the skate bowl.

Estate agent Attik Property Services describes the living quarters as “a stylish bachelor pad consisting of an open plan living space lined with years of treasured vinyl and musical memorabilia.”

The nearest major town is King’s Lynn but Terrington St Clement has a post office, pub and a shop.

Mr Marsden is moving in order to find a new home which can also accommodate his business.

“Whilst Mr Marsden’s love of skating, kickflips and grinds remains at the forefront of his personal life, his business has grown in leaps and bounds and the daily hard work means that it is time to restructure and relocate,” a spokeswoman for Attik said.
