London-born actor Orlando Bloom has so settled into bachelor life, Los Angeles style, that he has put down roots in Beverly Hills, buying a 4,000sq ft home in star-studded North Hillcrest Road for £5.4 million.

Recently redesigned by hotel guru Miguel Angel Aragonés, this is the first residential home by the architect.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has an open floor plan with a private shower garden in the master suite, a cinema room and a pool.

Bloom, who recently broke up with chart-topping girlfriend Katy Perry, managed to knock about £700,000 off the asking price.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor once said that if he could buy any building in London it would be the Natural History Museum. However, it seems he is sticking to La La Land for now.
