See the world’s longest double herbaceous borders that have just been launched at Kew, and visit on one of the celebratory weekends that are packed with activities and planting inspiration.

Horticultural Celebration Weekend, on August 13 and 14, 10am-6pm, includes guided walking tours, craft workshops, horticultural drop-in sessions, talks on colour in the borders, house plant heroes and creating a pollinator-friendly garden.

Beauty of the Borders Celebration Weekend, August 27 to 29 August, 10am-6pm, explores the planting in the borders through the arts, and includes, as well as walking tours, storytelling and craft workshops, artist demonstrations, a communal colouring project and talks on botanical art, flowers as subject for embroidery and how to be an iPad artist.
