Offbeat pieces by ceramicists Robert Rush and Rose de Borman on display in a King’s Cross derelict house.

Celebrate the wonders of a wood-fired kiln, built in the country by the artists themselves, who also chopped the wood and stoked the fire for half a day until the “ash glaze” melted at a temperature of 1,300C.
The resulting offbeat pieces, pictured, by ceramicists Robert Rush and Rose de Borman, will be unconventionally displayed in a derelict house in King’s Cross, along with work from the more usual type of electric kiln, and special objects the couple have collected.
“We’re part art installation, part museum and part shop,” says De Borman.
