Throughout London, it's always a scramble to bag an outdoor space for drinks on these rare, long summer evenings - so any new venues springing up in the capital are welcome.

And so, it's off to Greenwich in south-east London for the capital's latest gin-themed outdoor bar at Craft London. Running for six weeks, the Sipsmith Summer Terrace will be offering a themed cocktail menu to sample while taking in panoramic views of Greenwich Peninsula, Canary Wharf, The Thames and beyond. Inside, the main bar designed by Tom Dixon is just as impressive, with its dramatic mix of folded metal and industrial-luxe interiors.

The bar team at Craft London have collaborated with Sipsmith’s Master Distiller Jared Brown to create a range of bespoke, hand-crafted cocktails with fresh ingredients and garnishes, foraged from the bar and restaurant's own kitchen garden. Ticketed gin masterclasses will run every two weeks so you can mix your new favourite cocktails at home.

Choose from a range of gin cocktails, including a Summer Harvest with beetroot shrub and the Foragers Julep with raspberries, golden syrup, marjoram, sorrel and a raspberry infusion

Alongside the cocktails (priced between £8-£10), bar snacks from the restaurants all-British menu will be available; perfect for enjoying alongside a Sipsmith cocktail in the sunshine. And the best part is - there's no need to book in advance.

The Sipsmith Summer Terrace will be open, weather permitting, until 20 September.

Getting there: Craft London is a five-minute walk from North Greenwich Tube station, via Edmund Halley Way and Green Place.
