'48,000 manufacturing jobs to go'

DIGBY Jones, director-general of the CBI, expects a further 48,000 jobs in the manufacturing sector will go next year.

He is calling for a crackdown on red tape, urging the Government to 'fight the endless stream of inappropriate and damaging initiatives from Brussels'.
