Allied pension black hole grows

THE pension deficit at drinks giant Allied Domecq has swollen to £480m, 25.5% of the plan's £1.9bn assets. But Allied paid finance director Graham Hetherington and president of wines David Scotland £1.15m and £1.48m respectively to buy them out of their salary-linked pension schemes.
