Anna Chapman and Russian spies honoured in Kremlin

The Russian agents deported from the US in the biggest spy swap since the Cold War were today awarded the country's highest state honours by President Dmitry Medvedev.

Redhead Anna Chapman, 28, who was married to a British man, and the nine other agents, were given the awards in a Kremlin ceremony.

The Russian agents, who infiltrated suburban America, were deported in June in exchange for four people convicted in Russia of spying for the West. The spies received a hero's welcome in Russia.
