Armed bike gang ram-raids jewellers

12 April 2012

An armed gang used motorcycles to smash their way into a London jewellery shop.

Four men, one carrying a gun, repeatedly drove their high-powered machines at the locked door of Hushh & Co, a small shop in Rosebery Avenue, Clerkenwell, yesterday afternoon.

They then used an axe to smash through the window and pull items from the display before making off with thousands of pounds of jewellery.

The owner, who was inside the shop, was badly shaken but unharmed.

One of the gang's bikes narrowly avoided a collision with a car during their getaway.

Anyone with information is asked to called the Met's Flying Squad on 020
