Bid battle hopes hoist Haslemere

SHARES in Anglo-Dutch property firm Haslemere rose 87 1/2p to 4000p on talk of a counterbid to the recommended £900m cash offer from Israel's Brack Capital.

Dutch companies Evia Real Estate and Vastgoedcomfort are mulling an offer at 4087p, topping Brack's 3888p.
