Brady given legal aid for suicide case

Moors murderer Ian Brady received more than £8,000 in legal aid to fund his court battle for the right to starve himself to death.

Brady, 71 - who killed five children with accomplice Myra Hindley in the Sixties - lost the case and is being kept alive by force-feeding.

He is among four notorious killers who have received more than £175,000 of legal aid to challenge jail conditions or sentences in court. The others are Jeremy Bamber, Dennis Nilsen and Donald Neilson.
