Camilla to meet volunteers in our reading campaign

12 April 2012

The Duchess of Cornwall is to visit a reading project supported by our literacy campaign and meet some of the reading volunteers that she personally sponsored.

Camilla, who was first to back our bid to Get London Reading, today announced that she would visit Cavendish primary school in Chiswick in person to see volunteer readers in action after pledging £5,000 to fund the first 10 volunteers.

It comes as retail giant Argos joins our campaign and pledged to end the era of the "Argos Catalogue kid - the children with no books".
