Computer expert 'hacked Facebook'

12 April 2012

A computer expert appeared in court today accused of hacking into social networking site Facebook.

The court heard Glenn Mangham "repeatedly" breached the website's security between April 27 and May 9 this year.

It is not known what data the 25-year-old is alleged to have accessed during the attacks.

Mangham spoke only to confirm his name at the City of Westminster magistrates' court.

District Judge Nicholas Evans released him on bail but ordered that he should not access the internet or possess any device that could browse the web.

He will appear at crown court next month.
