Peter Dominiczak12 April 2012

The pilot of the plane that crashed with Nigel Farage on board has been charged with threatening to kill the politician.

Justin Adams is alleged to have made death threats to Mr Farage, now leader of the UK Independence Party, after the light aircraft they were in nose-dived into a field.

Mr Farage managed to walk from the scene on May 6, and Mr Adams recovered from his serious injuries after being airlifted to hospital.

The pilot, 45, has also been charged with threatening the official who investigated the accident, and is to appear at Oxford crown court next Tuesday.
