Cucumber sick list hits 1,150

The number of people falling ill in Germany after eating cucumbers imported from Spain has risen to 1,150.
The national disease control centre, the Robert Koch Institute, said it had confirmed nine deaths from entero-haemorrhagic E.coli, known as EHEC.
Russia has banned the import of cucumbers, tomatoes and salad from Spain and Germany pending further notice.
