'Don't let Domino's take another slice of the action'

Domino's pizzas might be a success story of the economic slowdown, but they're not to everyone's taste.

Residents in a south London district claim that the conversion of a 120-year-old former bank into the company's latest takeaway will have a "disastrous impact" on their area and have launched a campaign to stop it.

Among the main objections are that the takeaway, in Honor Oak Park, will "not promote healthy living" and that the noise from its delivery scooters will cause excessive disturbance late at night. Hundreds of people have signed a "Say No to Domino's" petition or written to Lewisham council, to voice their opposition.
