Escaped cobra lives New York high life

A Twitter user is enthralling New York with updates purporting to show the progress of an Egyptian cobra that escaped from the Bronx zoo.

"On top of the Empire State Building!" was one post on BronxZoosCobra. "All the people look like little mice down there. Delicious little mice."

The zoo believes it is hiding somewhere in the reptile house but said: "Right now, it's the snake's game."
