Father weeps over death of daughter 'killed by boyfriend'

Multiple wounds: Jitka Nahodilova
12 April 2012

The father of a woman thought to have been stabbed to death by her boyfriend in north London spoke today of his devastation at her killing.

Lubomir Nahodil, 54, wept as he spoke of his "loving" daughter Jitka Nahodilova.

Miss Nahodilova, a Czech national who died at her home in Barnet, is understood to have been stabbed repeatedly by her partner, named locally as Jirka Stuchlik, 23, who died in an apparent suicide at Finsbury Park Tube station on New Year's Day.

Police found Miss Nahodilova's body the next morning. Speaking outside her home, her father, who flew to London from his home in the Czech Republic, said: "She was full of life. A kind, considerate and loving daughter."

Miss Nahodilova, in her late twenties, suffered multiple wounds and a knife was found nearby, said police. Officers are due to fly to the Czech Republic to continue inquiries.

It is understood police, who were not aware of any history of violence between the couple, are treating the deaths as murder and suicide.

Last night neighbours of the couple spoke of their shock. One said: "They were a nice couple and had lived here for 18 months. They were quiet, so what has happened is just shocking."
