Fixed-asset income drives Candover

CANDOVER, the private equity firm understood to be selling its 60% stake in Earls Court and Olympia, saw its pre-tax profits rise 17% to £17.9m for calendar 2003, due to high income from fixed-asset holdings.

Its net asset value per share rose to 1165p from 1040p. But the shares today fell 39p to 1355p on likely slower investment disposals this year.
