Fulham town hall to become new hotel

Fulham town hall is likely to be turned into a hotel after it is sold in a deal worth more than £10 million.

Hammersmith & Fulham council, which needs cash to help pay off a £133 million debt, has received 11 bids from all over the world for the Grade II-listed Victorian property.

Most of the bidders plan to use at least part of the building in Fulham Broadway as a hotel. The council, which runs most of its services from Hammersmith town hall, plans to name a preferred bidder by December.
