Harry and Chelsy's love at the crossroads

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy share an intimate moment.
13 April 2012

They have been dating for 18 months, surviving ups and downs and kiss-and-tells, but I can reveal Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy are having to make some serious decisions about their future.

The love-struck couple spent hours on the phone last week after Chelsy decided she did not want to move to the UK when she finishes her business studies degree in November.

And there are uncertainties over Harry's future. The Prince, who last saw Chelsy in August and would love her to live in London, wants to serve with the Army in Afghanistan, although it is not yet known which troops will be sent there.

Chelsy's parents, Charles and Beverley, who run a game reserve in Zimbabwe, had asked a friend to look out for a property in Central London for their 20-year-old daughter because they felt she would be safer in Britain.

But the pretty blonde, who was robbed at gunpoint in Cape Town earlier this month, has told her parents and Harry, 22, she does not want to move to Britain because it is 'not the place for her'.

'Harry and Chelsy have been having some very serious heart-to-hearts about their relationship and where things will go for them,' says my source. 'They are both reaching times of change in their lives. Chelsy graduates in November. She has the opportunity to study for another year but it doesn't necessarily have to be in South Africa.

'Meanwhile, Harry is training and hoping to go to Afghanistan in the New Year. They do not want to entertain the idea of splitting up but their long-distance relationship is a strain on them at times.

'One of Chelsy's family friends was in London looking at properties recently. Her parents have a house in Victoria but they wanted a place for Chelsy and her brother. However, Chelsy said no. She doesn't want to be the centre of Press attention, and couldn't bear the weather.'
