Health check for commuters

DOCTORS will today offer commuters in London free health checks to spot people suffering from potentially fatal lung diseases.

Respiratory experts from Royal Brompton hospital will be at Victoria station to find people suffering from conditions including chronic bronchitis and emphysema and offer them advice.

The event coincides with World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease day which kills about 30,000 people a year in Britain, more than breast, bowel or prostate cancer.
