Holloway street stab victim was attacked by 20 men

A man killed in a street stabbing was attacked by a group of between 12 and 20 men, police said tonight.

Officers who were called to an incident in Holloway, north London, last night found Andrew Jaipaul, 21, from nearby Finsbury Park.

The victim died at the scene, a Scotland Yard spokesman said. The incident happened near Andover House in Andover Road shortly before 10.20pm.

A post-mortem examination took place today and gave cause of death as multiple incised stab wounds.

Detectives from the specialist crime directorate are investigating under Detective Chief Inspector Phil Rickells.
