Jack Tweed in court over fight outside Essex nightclub

12 April 2012

Jack Tweed is due to appear in court today to face charges related to a scuffle outside a nightclub.

The 23-year-old widower of Jade Goody is accused of threatening and abusive behaviour and is due to appear alongside his brother Lewis Tweed, 20, and friend Mark Wright, 24, at Redbridge Magistrates' Court.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were charged under section four of the Public Order Act.

The charges relate to an incident outside Wright's Deuces Bar and Lounge in Chigwell, Essex, in the early hours of January 3.

A 21-year-old builder suffered a black eye and bruised face.

Wright appeared in the reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex.

Tweed married Big Brother star Goody, 27, shortly before she lost her battle against cervical cancer in March 2009.
