Kimberly back on the party circuit

You would never guess there had been a second, third and fourth man in their marriage. Though she was back on the party circuit last night, Kimberly Quinn had eyes only for her husband.

The woman whose string of affairs brought down David Blunkett as home secretary looked every inch the devoted wife as she attended an awards ceremony with Stephen Quinn.

This is thought to be the first photograph of the couple together at a public event since the birth of her second son, Lorcan, in February.

At Claridge's for the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year presentation, Mrs Quinn, 44, held hands, laughed and joked with her husband, 60, in a display of public unity.

The prizewinner was Chey Garland, who left school at 16 with no qualifications. She rose from office junior to set up her own call-centre business, which now employs 2,800 staff and has an annual turnover of ?28million.

But Ms Garland's achievement was displaced in guests' chatter by the re-emergence of Mrs Quinn on the party scene.

She is still caught up in a bitter legal fight with Mr Blunkett, 57, over access to their son William. But only last month the former minister was surprised by conclusive tests showing he is not the father of baby Lorcan.

Last night, though, Mrs Quinn was keeping well clear of politics. While happy to pose for the photographs with her husband she refused to be drawn on events of the day. "I don't have anything to say," she said.
