London's public transport rated among worst in Europe

Public transport in London has been ranked amongst the worst in Europe

London has been ranked fourth from bottom in a survey of public transport in 23 European cities.

The EuroTest survey by the University of Stuttgart said the capital's transport was the most expensive tested.

The Tube was criticised for lack of accessibility for disabled people, contradictory signs and not enough bike spaces.

But Transport for London won approval for its Oyster card system. A TfL spokesman said: "The system does need improving which is why TfL is investing billions to deliver faster, more frequent services."
