M&S model ‘tried to kill herself’ after split from Claude Makelele

'Recovering': Noemie Lenoir
12 April 2012

Marks & Spencer's lingerie model Noemie Lenoir tried to kill herself after on-off lover Claude Makelele — the father of her five-year-old son Keylan — said he wanted to leave her for a third time, it was alleged today.

The 30-year-old is believed to have taken a cocktail of drugs and alcohol at the former Chelsea footballer's £1 million home near Paris.

Miss Lenoir, also the face of campaigns for Next, Gap and Victoria's Secret, apparently called the emergency services herself on Sunday afternoon, saying she "felt very ill". But soon afterwards she is said to have made a second call cancelling the ambulance.

She then left the house and was later found slumped near woodland by a passer-by out walking his dog.

Makelele played for Chelsea from 2003 to 2008.
