Man is struggling for life after being shot

A man is critically ill in hospital today after being shot in the street. The victim, in his twenties, was found by police lying in a pool of blood in Fulham.

A Metropolitan police spokesman said: "Police were called at 2.25am yesterday to reports of a man found shot on the pavement in Redcliffe Gardens. He has not been identified. Detectives need to establish the circumstances."
