Meredith Kercher and her friend Sophie Purton - one of six friends of the murdered student ordered back to Italy for questioning

Among the six will be the Leeds University student's best friends Sophie Purton, Amy Frost and Robyn Butterworth - who have already described Knox's questionable behaviour to police.

Robyn, from Northamptonshire, told officers Knox, 20, boasted about finding the semi-naked body of 21-year-old Meredith - of Coulsdon, Surrey - as they all waited in Perugia police station to speak to officers.

Meredith, who was on an exchange for a year, was found with her throat cut in her flat on November 2.

The recall of her friends comes after further evidence against Knox - her DNA mixed with Meredith's in bloodstains in a sink.

Foxy Knoxy: Amanda Knox claims she spent the night Meredith was killed at her boyfriend's flat. She remains in jail awaiting trial for murder.
