Missing family safe and well

A family of six who sparked a nationwide police hunt when they disappeared from their home were today found safe and well.

David and Susan Fundell and their four children had been missing from their Cardiff home since June 29.

South Wales Police said yesterday they were "greatly concerned" for their welfare as it was unusual for them to go away without telling anyone.

Today Mr Fundell, 57, walked into a police station in south west England after seeing an appeal in a newspaper.
