Mounties get their marijuana... and black bears

Bear skins: one of the black bears found in the marijuana field
12 April 2012

Police who raided two marijuana fields in British Columbia near the US-Canada border found 13 black bears wandering among the crops.

There were about 2,300 plants in the fields. The property's two owners were arrested on charges of production and possession of a controlled substance.
