Mugabe grounds Zimbabwe airline

Zimbabwe's national airline has suspended flights to London and Johannesburg after one of its planes was impounded at Gatwick.

It is believed president Robert Mugabe ordered the move after he was forced to charter a jet at Christmas when his usual plane was unavailable.

An Air Zimbabwe 767 was held at Gatwick until a £780,000 debt to a US parts supplier was paid.
