Socialite Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of billionaire Formula One boss Bernie, said today she was determined to be "taken seriously" through a new reality TV show.

The model, 26, who burst from her boyfriend's birthday cake at a party in Mortons Club, Mayfair, on Sunday, revealed she is in the final stages of talks to star in an Osbournes-style series due out at the end of the year.

It will chart her attempts to forge a career as a businesswoman, and she hopes to let people see the "real me". She plans to launch her own ranges of lingerie and women's hair products this year, forming the basis for the series.

"The show will be about me trying to launch a career and my day-to-day life," she said. "I'll be opening up everything to the cameras, seeing me in the mornings wearing my pyjamas. I want it to be very real. It is a chance for the real me to come across."

Miss Ecclestone is preparing to exchange contracts on a £45million home in Kensington bought for her by her father, and plans to move in with stockbroker boyfriend Omar Khyami. She said she needed to upgrade to a "family home" from her £22million Belgravia town house.

Her sister Petra, 22, has also been bought a new £66million house near Sloane Square by their father, prompting the 80-year-old with a £2.4billion fortune to insist his daughters are not spoilt.

But Miss Ecclestone said that while she felt "very lucky" to have great wealth, she wanted to be known "not just as Bernie's daughter".

"This year I hope I will be taken more seriously, perhaps as a businesswoman rather than just a socialite, or whatever they call me."

Before moving into her three-floor, six-bedroom property, Miss Ecclestone plans to spend 18 months renovating it.

Her Croatian-born mother Slavica, 52, who separated from her father in 2009, was instrumental in finding the house, she said. "I love design and doing up properties. I was looking for ages. I needed a house I could spend the rest of my life - a real family home."

Mr Ecclestone said he simply wanted to help his daughters on to the property market. "Renovating a property will be good for Tamara. It will keep her busy and will be a good project for her to learn from."
