Police arrest three in terror investigation

Three people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in connection with "suspected domestic extremism", police said today.

Armed officers detained a 25-year-old man outside a house in Crossways, Aldershot, yesterday afternoon and detectives are questioning him.

A 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were also arrested and are in custody, a spokeswoman said.

Two properties in Aldershot have been sealed off and will be searched by police over the next few days. The spokeswoman would not give any more details of the incident or allegations.

She said: "This is an ongoing investigation, led by Hampshire Constabulary's serious and organised crime unit."
