Police issue image of third 'Halloween hat' murder witness

Detectives investigating the Halloween murder of Ben Gardner today issued a CCTV image of a potentially crucial witness.
The man dressed in jeans and a blue checked shirt and in his early twenties was caught on camera at the scene of the killing in Sutton.
Mr Gardner, 30, suffered fatal head injuries when he was attacked by a group of men who snatched his girlfriend's witch's-style hat. The couple had stopped for a take-away in the early hours of 1 November after a Halloween party.
Detectives do not believe the man was involved but could have crucial information. He had left the Revolutions nightclub at about 3am, 30 minutes before the murder.
Police are also believed to be hunting a third man. Two men, both 20, have been charged with murder.
