Police shooting suspect found

A man arrested over the shooting of two police officers investigating a murder is in critical condition in hospital today.

The 23-year-old man was found with serious injuries in the Halifax area a few hours after going on the run.

He was being questioned by four detectives at about 4.10pm yesterday over the murder of a 20-year-old when he escaped.

A 44-year-old woman detective constable was shot in the thigh and her 39-year-old male colleague shot in the stomach. Neither was seriously injured.
