Police stop 'bad taste' TV crew

Police swooped on a Channel 4 crew which tried to make a joke out of the funeral by pointing a speed camera at the cortege.

Programme makers from the controversial game show Banzai had equipment confiscated, and police vans parked in front of them.

They had planned to point the speed camera as the cortege travelled down Cromwell Road, west London, and on to Windsor. It is thought viewers would have been invited to bet on the hearse's speed.

A police source said: "This was in the worst taste possible."
