Prince Harry leaves diners out of sorts

Disgruntled: Prince Harry left restaurant diners out in the cold after turning up unannounced for a secret meal
12 April 2012

Prince Harry left restaurant diners out in the cold after turning up unannounced for a secret meal with friends, it was claimed today.

Customers were disgruntled at having to eat outside at the four-star Milsom Kesgrave Hall, in Kesgrave, near Ipswich, after the prince booked inside tables.

He arrived, accompanied by three bodyguards, in a blacked out Range Rover at about 7pm yesterday. He dined with a man and a woman, leaving three tables unoccupied. The restaurant does not usually accept table bookings.

The prince is training to fly Apache helicopters at nearby Wattisham Airfield.

A St James's Palace spokesman said: "Prince Harry did not request extra space in the restaurant - just enough for himself and his guests.

"If the other tables were booked out, they were not done so at the request of Prince Harry."
