Quiz show cheat quits army

The major convicted of cheating to win the top prize on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? has been asked to leave the Army.

Charles Ingram, 39, from Wiltshire, received a letter from the Ministry of Defence today requesting that he resign from the Royal Engineers.

He was convicted at Southwark Crown Court in April of conning his way to £1 million on the TV quiz show. He will lose his Army-rented house but his pension will be unaffected.
