A popular venue billed as "London's biggest nightclub" has closed after eight years.

Management blamed the recession for the closure of SeOne, saying it had struggled to fill the 30,000 sq ft venue. The 3,000-capacity club, located under the arches of London Bridge station, was popular with students.

Clubbers posted messages on a Facebook group called "R.I.P SeOne London 21.6.2002 — 22.2.2010".

Martin Mattingley wrote: "Worst news I've had all year! That club was a banger!"
