FRENCH chipmaking giant STMicroelectronics is to spend up to £90m in the next three years to expand production capacity in Singapore. 'We believe that Singapore, for STMicro, will remain competitive - even with China - for the next 10 years,' said chief executive Pasquale Pistorio.
