Three to go on trial over shooting of five-year-old

Three men are due to appear at the Old Bailey today charged over the shooting of a five-year-old girl in a shop.

Thusha Kamaleswaran was left paralysed from the waist down after she was shot at the Stockwell Food and Wine store in south London in March. A 35-year-old man, Roshan Selvakumar, was also hit during the incident.

Nathaniel Grant, 20, of Camberwell New Road, Camberwell, Kazeem Kolawole, 18, of Black Prince Road, Kennington, and Anthony McCalla, 19, of Oakdale Road, Streatham, are each charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The men are expected to appear in court via videolink. Thusha remains in hospital where she is said to be in a stable condition.
