Tourist attraction worker 'molested girl'

12 April 2012

A worker at a tourist venue in the capital groomed a 14-year-old girl for sex, the Old Bailey heard.

Manuel Schwabgil, 31, allegedly approached the girl at the London Bridge Experience and gave her free vouchers before kissing her, hugging her and writing his mobile number on a voucher.

The next day he allegedly molested her in the staff area inside the venue and then made her perform a sex act on him at his home in Wood Green.

Prosecutor John Carmichael said: "The matter came to light when she was upset at school." Schwabgil told police he thought the girl "was aged 17 to 19".

He denies two counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 in May of last year. The trial continues.
